Knicks and Celtics Will Butt Heads in a Bar Room Brawl
It would be hyperbole to think that last night’s game between the Celtics and Knicks didn’t live up to the hype. Both teams battled until the final whistle, and NBA fans were treated to a playoff atmosphere in November.
The Knicks played with passion and energy, but the Celtics ultimately prevailed, winning 128-114. These two teams have always had one of the most bitter rivalries in the NBA, and last night's game was no different.
The Celtics' defense was stout, and they held the Knicks to just 41.7% shooting from the field. The Knicks were also outrebounded by the Celtics 51-35.
The Knicks were led by Jalen Brunson, who had 27 points and 8 assists. Julius Randle added 23 points and 10 rebounds, and R.J. Barrett chipped in with 20 points.
The Celtics were led by Jayson Tatum, who had 35 points and 14 rebounds. Jaylen Brown added 25 points, and Marcus Smart had 23 points and 11 assists.
The Celtics improved to 15-4 with the win, while the Knicks fell to 10-8.
