Lorry and car collide in Ellefeld - three injured

On Tuesday afternoon, a lorry and a car collided in Ellefeld, Vogtlandkreis. Three people were injured in the accident, two of them seriously.

According to the police, the accident occurred at around 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of the B169 federal road and the S290 state road. The car was traveling on the S290 when it collided with the lorry, which was turning left onto the B169. The impact of the collision was so great that the car was pushed several meters backwards.

The driver of the car, a 52-year-old man, and his passenger, a 51-year-old woman, were both seriously injured in the accident. They were taken to hospital by ambulance. The driver of the lorry, a 39-year-old man, was also injured, but his injuries were not as serious. He was treated at the scene by paramedics.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The police are asking witnesses to the accident to come forward.
