Saints not set to part ways with Martin despite winless start

New Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen is not considering benching quarterback Jameis Winston despite the team's 0-2 start to the season

The Saints have been one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL through the first two weeks of the season, but Allen is not ready to make a change at quarterback.

Winston has completed 59.1% of his passes for 342 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions this season. He has also been sacked six times.

The Saints' offense has struggled mightily in the first two weeks of the season, averaging just 14.5 points per game. They have also turned the ball over eight times.

Despite the struggles, Allen is confident that Winston can turn things around.

"I believe in Jameis," Allen said. "I think he's a good quarterback. I think he can make the plays that we need him to make. I think he can lead this team to success."

Winston will get another chance to prove himself in Week 3 when the Saints host the Carolina Panthers.

The Panthers are also 0-2 this season, so this is a must-win game for both teams.

If the Saints lose to the Panthers, it will be time to start thinking about making a change at quarterback. But for now, Allen is sticking with Winston.
